Webinar: Understanding the Fostering Connections Act: An Introduction for State Policymakers

Newly elected state lawmakers and their staff are invited to view a webinar on the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act. All other interested stakeholder are also welcome.
In October, 2008, Congress enacted the Fostering Connections Act. Since that time, state leaders have been busy implementing the Act's required changes to their child welfare programs and dozens of states have already taken up new state options for federal support, such as extending foster care beyond age 18 and making available Kinship Guardianship Assistance Programs. The National Conference of State Legislatures and FosteringConnections.org partners will lead a discussion of the Fostering Connections Act, and invited guests will highlight specific state examples of implementation.
